- Chinese yoyo: When students can got 8 sentence reconstruction game correct (within limit time) they can play Chinese yoyo. (This is a big challenge for our first graders. The first question students have 56 second to complete it. The second question students have 49 second to complete it. The third question students have 42 second to complete it. The fourth question students have 35 second to complete it. The fifth question students have 28 second to complete it. The sixth question students have 21 second to complete it. The seventh question students have 14 second to complete it. The eighth question students only have 13 second to complete it. Sometimes, even the teacher can not complete the question in 13 second in this sentence reconstruction game.)

- How many watermelons? According to Piaget's theory of cognitive development our students in this stage are lacking logic thinking skill to determine the missing piece. When teacher explains why there are 5 watermelons, students are still confused. The teacher then asks students to use scissors to cut the pepper and put them together, students can use their own sentences to explain the reason. (See pictures & videos below.)
- Chinese yoyo: When students can got 7 sentence reconstruction game correct (within limit time) they can play Chinese yoyo. Some students continue to play sentence reconstruction game because they want to go to level 14. (Intrinsic motivation & self learning.)

- Chinese yoyo: When students can got 8 sentence reconstruction game correct (within limit time) they can play Chinese yoyo. Some students continue to play sentence reconstruction game because they want to go to level 14. (Intrinsic motivation & self learning.)
- Lesson: 上来(come up),上去(go up),下来(come down),下去(go down),出去(go out),出来(come out),进去(go in),进来(come in)。
- Activity (Total Physical Response): Students have privilege to go up on the desk in this activity (only this is activity.). One student said "你不可以玩电脑 (You can not play computer now.)" another student said "我的小老师说我可以玩 (My little teacher says I can play it.)"
- Vocabulary: 上来(come up),上去(go up),下来(come down),下去(go down),出去(go out),出来(come out),进去(go in),进来(come in)...。
