- After 28 weekly writing tests, 8 YCT test, 2 YCT -Listening & Mandarin Matrix- Reading test, and 9 days of reading homework, our students had a State wide final exam on Friday (05/20). Our students did very well on the final exam.
- YCT Listening average: 94.77 (questions 1 to 20).
- Mandarin Matrix Reading average: 85.68 (questions 21 to 36).
- Total average: 180.23.
- Red class listening average: 91.23

Chinese Literacy:
Monday (05/23) :
- Field day.
- worksheet writing and reading. (See videos/pictures below.)
- On the middle of worksheet is a statement and a picture. Students need to answer "correct or incorrect" on the left side and then explain why on the right side. Almost every student can write it without my help. There are many possible answers on the right side. When students read to their partner they will compare their own answers to partner's answer.
- This activity demonstrate our students can apply their vocabulary (old knowledge) to new/real life situations which is from achievement* to proficiency**.

Tuesday (05/24):
- Worksheet 1: Reading comprehension.
- Worksheet 2: Fill in the blank.
- Picture drawing: Students draw an apple and make a complete sentence.
- Pictures activity: moving or not.
Wednesday (05/25):
- Worksheet: page 9 to 16.
- Guessing game 1: Teacher write Chinese character on the air and students need to guess what is it.
- Guessing game 2: Two students work together. One student use finger to write Chinese on partner's back then partner needs to guess what is it.
- Rock Paper Scissors game: Two students play together. When a student win he/she does not move. If a student lose he/she need to open his/her legs. When a student cannot open legs anymore or his/her hands touch the ground he/she lose the game.

The last day of school a student read a book and others paly Chinese yoyo. Our students speak Chinese when they are playing Chinese yoyo. Only one English sentence I heard and I said “please say Chinese. Thank you.” The student answered me hao(OK).
